Podcast #11 - Three Sided Coin

Do you know what a three sided coin looks like? I didn't. It's a coin that has equal probability of landing on front, back or side. What? Yeah. Here's what it looks like:

Our prompt was three-sided coin. I looked it up to be sure I would be using it correctly in my song and this is what came up on my phone.

My favorite part of looking that up: "This page has some issues" Haha! I want my nickel back! Sorry, nothing against NickelBack. I don't know why people have such issues with them but, whatever.

Anyway, this song is inspired by the question "Would you rather me right or would you rather be happy?" I get in these ridiculous conflicts with my husband forgetting that we're supposed to be on the same side; each other's. All I know is, I'd rather be happy. Sometimes I need reminders but, yeah, happy is where it's at. :) I was fighting a bit of a cold when this was recorded but, hey, I did it! Proud of myself for not sleeping entirely through that week.

FYI: Next week's post is going to be super extra important for me. I hope you'll check back then. I'll be sending out an email about it and posting on social media so, get connected if you need a reminder. You can sign up for the mailing list here or find me on Facebook, G+ and Twitter:

Three-sided coin

When the moment comes
Thunder in the distance, the worst of it is done
Arguments all spent
Attitudes formed, positions have been set
You know where I stand

Are you calling sides
Everything was easy till someone drew a line
And here we are in check
Back and forth, believing the other incorrect
Where do I land

Between you, me and the truth, I used to think
I’d always know how to choose but, someone flipped
A three-sided coin and I never had a choice
It’s you, it’s you

I had to take them down,
The feelings I piled up to keep your feelings out
I think I’m good and done
Looking for the reason when you’re the only one
And now, here I am

Between you, me and the truth, I used to think
I’d always know how to choose but, someone flipped
A three-sided coin and I never had a choice
It’s you, you, you

I spent so much time trying to decide
When it’s always right

Between you, me and the truth, I used to think
I’d always know how to choose but, someone flipped
A three-sided coin and I never had a choice
It’s you, it’s you
